March Patient of the Month: Phillipe Nover

Our March Patient of the Month is UFC Bellator and Ring of Combat veteran Phillipe Nover.

Phillipe has been a patient and friend since 2009.

His accomplishments both in and out of the ring are amazing.

He has trained with some of the best MMA fighters, BJJ practitioners and wrestling in the world.

A Brooklyn native and proud Filipino, Phillipe is a nurse by trade.

Interesting combination as he can both destroy and heal.

Here is a little more about our March Patient of the Month.

Phillipe Nover is an American mixed martial arts fighter from Brooklyn, New York.  He is best known for his performance on the Ultimate Fighter, Season 8, where he made it to the finals of the show.  Since then, he has fought in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Bellator, and many other mixed martial arts organizations.

Phillipe started his martial arts career under Sifu Ralph Mitchell of Universal Defense Systems at the age of 10.  He had his first professional MMA fight in 2002 and from that point on, he says he was hooked.  He has been fighting professionally for over 11 years.  He obtained his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black belt in 2008 under Alexandre “Soca” Freitas.

Currently, he trains under Master Renzo Gracie, Professor John Danaher, Professor Mike Jaramillo, Jason Strout, and Dave Esposito.  You can find him training at gyms such as NYC Renzo Gracie academy, Church Street Boxing, and Edge Hoboken.

Phillipe has big plans to advance his career as a professional athlete.  He continues to compete at a high level.
